Playfair

Playfair is designed to be the official Welcome Week Kick Off. New students come together to meet all of their new peers in a fun an interactive way.

Involvement Fest

Involvement Fest takes place in the Fall & Winter and gives students a chance to connect with our 230+ student organizations.  This is your chance to visit tables and explore your interests or try something new.

Convocation

Convocation is the first official welcome new students experience in the Fall when they come together to hear from UMBC Faculty, Staff, & peers.

Welcome Week Soccer Games

Each year we kick off the fall with our Men & Women’s home soccer games. This is a chance to come and cheer on the Retrievers to victory. New students can also pick up their FREE signature Retriever Scarf.
