The 10 Second WOW Statement

You might be asking yourself, what is a 'Wow statement?' 
 
WOW statements are crafted to invoke a “Wow, tell me more!” 
or “Wow, how do you do that?” response from the other party. 
 
 Upon meeting a new person in a variety of different situations, by far the most common introductory question is “What do you do?” The question is asked more out of instinct and little forethought than by genuine curiosity. When many people receive the “What do you do?” question, they simply react by launching into their rehearsed elevator pitch. While having an elevator pitch is helpful after a few words, more than likely we have lost the attention of the other person.
