Description

Get Retriever Ready with an interactive opportunity for information and connections. Join other UMBC students, community college ambassadors, and Transfer Student Network mentors for an engaging experience to help you prepare for your UMBC journey.

All new transfer students are invited to attend. There are two events that will be held on Friday.  The first is an opportunity to connect with the Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Advising, Dr. Ken Baron, who will help transfer students navigate their transfer credits, understand their degree plan, and answer questions they may have.  This event is from 12-1pm in the University Center room 115 and lunch will be provided.  The second event is a welcome reception for new transfer students highlighted by a question and answer period with Student Affairs Vice President Dr. Nancy Young.  This event is from 5-6pm in Lower Flat Tuesdays in The Commons and dinner will be provided.  Both events will feature an opportunity to meet other new transfer students and talk with Transfer Student Network peer mentors who can help you successfully navigate your first semester at UMBC.  Register at ocss.umbc.edu/transfer
