Description
International Student Orientation introduces you to everything UMBC has to offer! You will meet other new students, current international students, and UMBC staff from around campus who will be able to help you as you begin your career at UMBC. Come learn about everything UMBC has to offer and start getting involved from day 1!
We’ll be covering a variety of topics during orientation such as:
- F-1 Immigration Rules
- Work Options for F-1 Students
- Billing and Health Insurance
- About US and UMBC Culture
- Programs and Services Available On Campus
International Student Orientation is mandatory for all new international students and takes place in 2 parts.
The first part will be a live webinar on Tuesday, August 20 – details TBA. Join us from wherever you are in your travels!
The second part will be held in person on Tuesday, August 27 at 11am in the University Center Ballroom. Stay after orientation for lunch, networking, and games.
